Delicious quesadillas and the guacamole they make at your table is YUM! If you are a tequila fan this is the place for you.

2 stars because the food was good. We had two servers going back and forth, and had no idea what they were doing. One server didn't seem like he knew what he was doing, and the other was acting like his super high adderral dosage was peaking. Multiple orders came out wrong. You can find better than this place.

Went there with the family for dinner and the place was pretty empty, ordered a house margarita and it was ok. My wife ordered the steak and chicken fajitas for $16 and received the smallest portion I have ever seen for a fajita dinner that did not even come with rice and beans it actually was pretty funny because they gave her 2 tortillas yea 2 that really was enough to fill the 2 ,but we asked for more and they gave us 2 more that were still refrigerated. If you go there hungry you will probably leave hungry. Skip this place!

Awesome!!! Great food and drinks. Cool ambiance. Little loud, but hey.. It's a part of a ambiance, very casual. One if my favorite for sure.

This place was awesome for drinking tequila! We went after along day at work. They have tequila on tap. Now that's awesome & rare. Dobel which is a nice tequila was on special $4.00 a shot well worth it. They also had barcardi on special. They have flights which is a good way to try multiple brands of tequila. They start at about $15 for 4 shots and go up from there. We did not eat food so I can't review on that. If you are a tequila drinker or want to try different types this is the place! Screw patron and try something new!

Horrible choice for Mexican. They won't customize your order. What you see is what you get. Go to Cantina Laredo if you're looking for good Mexican food.

We went there once. Any real Mexican will just laugh at this place. This is defiantly a way to get back at the Gringos. Your bill will make you double blink. Don't fall for drinking the upscale Tequilas. Your wallet will scream. Very noisy inside, if you don't really want to talk to your date, this is your place. This is a pass.

Margarita was weak but the food is really good. Service is slow.

Worst Mexican food ever, I would go to Taco Bell over this place. And I hate Taco Bell. The food had no flavor, tuff to chew, and lukewarm.

I was seated right away and given the chips and salsa. The chips were hot and fresh. I ordered the shredded beef and fish taco which can be ordered à la carte. I enjoyed the entire meal along with the atmosphere and decor that provided it.

So unreal how the management treat the staff. Unreal to find out that the manager (tom) sexually harassed the staff while being there and yelling at them while trying to dine in. Place lacks professionalism.

We were just here for a late lunch. Lunch menu is small but it includes the drink. We got the chicken quesadilla and you get soup and your drink for a reasonable cost. The soup was very flavorable and the quesadilla was huge, had to take half home. Chips and salsa were good too. Will come back here.

I was so happy to happy to see a Mexican restaurant opening close by!! How truly disappointing it turned out. The appearance and the atmosphere, the bar, it all looked so promising!! I didn't hesitate and ordered the molcajete bowl for $19.00!! It was "HUGE".......but that is all it was. The sauce in it had no flavor, the meat had a weird texture? I wondered where it was bought? Tender, just....weird?! My husband got a pulled pork type sandwich the waiter said he just had and loved, but it was nothing special. Needless to say, that was our first and last visit to this spot. We will continue to go to Bonita for real good, full of flavor, cooked BY real Mexicans at Maria's on old 41! (See my review & pics) I've uploaded the pics so you can see. Presentation, great, but no flavor.

Great tapas! We had taquitos, jalapeño rellenos, and queso fandido chorizo. All great, but could have passed on the taquitos. Restaurant was really dark, but they turned up the lighting for us. Good service, cool beer selection and amazing tequila selection.

okay, so I have gone back a few times for drinks. the bartenders are always good, even when it's super packed. ladies night specials are good, margaritas are good. Since I ate the first time, I've been avoiding eating here again. well after a few too many margaritas I decided to try it again. I had the chicken quesadilla and the chicken taco salad. As I said before, I had a few margaritas, but both were REALLY good. The quesadilla wasn't greasy or too cheesy, it was perfect. The taco salad was...amazing. I love taco salads and eat them a lot, but my boyfriend and I literally ate everything, the bowl was gone. The citrus balsamic was perfect with the chicken. We really did enjoy it. So here I am, updating my review because they redeemed themselves in my eyes, although I probably won't try the chimmichonga again anytime soon.

We celebrated a birthday and brought 10 of us. Our server was great and very accommodating! She even stored the birthday cake I brought in. Margaritas are large, tasty and unique. I ordered the blood orange margarita and was very satisfied! Oh, and I also love their salsa!!!! We will definitely be back :)

Excellent Mexican restaurant with fresh flavorful dishes. Smoked pork dishes are excellent. nice atmosphere. Happy hour. I judge Mexican restaurants on the chips and salsa and they are very good.

I can write extensively on my experience at this place. I do not think that I have ever given a place a one-star review before. If I have been to a one-star place, I would not take the time to review it ,however this place needs to be reviewed! Originally I was very excited that an "authentic" Mexican restaurant was coming to the area. Boy was I wrong! First off I ordered the five dollar margarita as well as my boyfriend. My boyfriend was paying and it was an impulse decision to go out to dinner because I was feeling down so he decided to take me out for the evening... Therefore I did not bring my wallet. The lady asked to check our ID's however I am 25 and my boyfriend is 28. I told them I forgot to bring my drivers license and I understand that they would not provide me with a drink.... The waitress decided to extend the conversation by making a BIG deal that I did not have my drivers license and was trying to buy a drink. I told her that I apologized and I did not realize that I had forgotten my drivers license, so I understood that she could not provide me with a margarita even though it would have been nice. She then decided to take it UPON HERSELF to bring the manager over to the table!!!!! I told him that there was no issue that I'm not really sure why he was summoned over to the table. I told him that I've requested to order a drink along with my boyfriend and realized that I did not have my ID. The manager told me that it was not his problem and he could get in trouble if he provided me with a drink and decided to give me a lecture. I'm sorry but I'm 25 and I did not ask for a lecture like I was an 18-year-old. Once that embarrassing mess subsided we decided to order some "wet burritos". I asked the lady if I could have no cheese or sour cream within my burrito or none on top. I found a pretty odd that they would pair steamed mixed vegetables with a burrito instead of another authentic, but I was okay with that sense I like to try to eat pretty healthy. When my burrito came out it was covered in cheese and had cheese inside the burrito. I felt bad for making an issue so my boyfriend brought it up to the waitress. She huffed and puffed and took it back to the kitchen and asked me if I wanted any cheese at all in it..... I asked for no cheese or sour cream whatsoever. My boyfriend semi- enjoyed his food, however he said that it was not the best Mexican food that he had. He explained that the meats and the vegetables and rice within the burrito was pretty bland but the cheese and sour cream made up for the lack of flavor. Once the waitress brought out the burrito again, I ate my mix vegetables. They did not have any salt or pepper or lemon on them at all but I understand that not everyone likes seasonings so I was okay with them being plain. Upon the first bite of my burrito, I found that the vegetables within the burrito were not completely cooked. I noticed that the rice had a distinct cheddar flavor. My boyfriend then asked me after I had taken two bites whether or not I tasted cheese. I told him yes. The waitress came back and asked me if everything was okay and I asked her what and how the rice is cooked..... One of the ingredients....cheddar cheese. She began to get argumentative and asked me if I needed to speak with the manager once again. At this point I was so embarrassed that the only thing that I could do was go to the bathroom to take myself away from the situation so I would not blow up in her face. When I came back the manager said "I'm assuming you want me to pay for this" and said that he would comp me all but it didn't matter because I went home without food. I promise I am never the type of person to really complain about a restaurant the staff or anything else. But not only was I embarrassed the entire time but I left hungry and angry. I will never step foot in that place again unless it is owned by someone else.

Terrible food, and an awful kitchen staff that refused to make bean tacos for a vegetarian friend. It was absolutely ridiculous! There was literally nothing that she could eat and they didn't care. The food that the other 11 people in our party ordered was just ok On the other hand they have fabulous margaritas and the tequila flights are great and totally reasonable! Great place to go if you want an after dinner drink but there is a reason the restaurant is usually slow.

Excellent food and margueritas. A bit noisy inside and we had about a 25 minute wait this trip. Last time they fit our party of 20 in fast outside. Service is good. We will definite come again. We actually returned here instead of going to Chilis. Highly recommend .

I was in town visiting a friend and we heard about this place being new and we love Mexican food so we had to check it out. We walked in and it was not too busy and we were greeted and sat right away. We started with berry mojitos and they were really good but they were very weak and expensive so it was the only drink we had. We moved on to ordering after our server came back about 3 times within 5-7 mins to see if we were ready because we just kept catching up. We each ordered enchiladas (can't go wrong) and went on. The chips and salsa that were delivered to the table were delicious, the salsa was very different from most Mexican places and I loved it. We got our food a few minutes later and dug right into it. My chicken enchiladas were absolutely delicious and my friend said hers were too. The was some special seasoning on the refried beans, which made them sooooo good and the salsa on top of the enchiladas was yummy too. I have to say these have become my favorite enchiladas so far and I have had a ton! Lol I have a few complains... First, this place is a bit expensive for Mexican food and even though it was delicious I don't see how the plate was $14 for two enchiladas... Second, our server was trying so hard to get us out of there that he was very annoying asking if we were done every other minute and even told us that we eat too slow... not ok so I am hoping the other servers are nicer and less pushy because it was just annoying...

Foods great but guacamole girl complained about having to make it right in front of us and made a huge scene. Also the manager Ryan was beyond rude, never seen someone so inappropriate. Drinking at the bar then walking around managing? Not to mention him and all staff were bad mouthing other bars in the area. NOT A FRIENDLY PLACE TO BE AT, which is confusing since you would think a place that serves tequila would be fantastic.

Great food. I have had the carne asada soft tacos and enchaladas. All were excellent. I also recommend the table side guacamole . Very good experience and a pleasant dining experience.

Survey says - don't go for the food. Started with appetizers - jalapeño rellenos & Pedro's puffy tostadas, made with ahi tuna, bacon, mango and avocado lime crema. It was served lukewarm so the cheese wasn't melted, gooey or warm. I think they sat in the kitchen gor a long time before they were served to us. And they weren't spicy, but that's not the restaurants fault. The tostadas...what a disappointment. The puffy tostada seems to be more for show than taste or practicality. The description called for bacon - and there was NO BACON. When I asked, a bartender (who wasn't our server but was nice to attend to us, since our guy was MIA) she said they chop the bacon and its not in strips. Yes, I assumed that, but there was no bacon in it. The horror! Don't list it as a menu item if you aren't going to serve it as described. Maybe the cooks forgot, but it was a disappointment. Nobody, including the manager came around to inquire about our experience. For me, it the combination of mediocre service and the poor, quality of the served dishes made this my first and last visit. Which is a shame since they featured a large variety of tequila and the decor was pretty nice. But if the food isn't good, I can't say I'd be in there drinking a lot without sustenance.

Absolute worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. The RESTAURANT turns into an obnoxious ghetto disaster at night. They blast music so loud that you would think you are at a rap concert. However, it appears that they tried to save money on the speakers (they cut in and out and crackle - only adding to the ridiculousness). The food was the icing on the cake. I got a basic chicken burrito. It was about 2/3 full of mediocre rice, the chicken tasted days old, and I am convinced that the "queso" was a microwaved Kraft single dumped on my food. NOT recommended. Go to one of the chain restaurants in the mall.

Salado Pedro's is definitely a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant and energetic but for flavor and service they are on the opposite side of the spectrum. I have noticed the service is dedicated to serve alcoholic drinks than they are for food service. I did order a beer, and it did come first. My wife had to wait for her tea, my daughter had to wait for her apple juice; and those came out at a separate intervals plus we never received our waters. Of course I had to re-ask and we only received one water, I ordered three. I didn't want to bother again, but I shouldn't have had to. The owner (I believe or some off duty bartender) approached our table and pushed a drink menu on us and pointed out the tequila, plus mentioned tequila several times; but we were obviously just having a family dinner with the kids! The food is very bland with no flavor and if they even tried to be a respected "Mexican" restaurant, they would at least try and marinate their pork and steak. I asked the server how some of the proteins are cooked, and he was a bit puzzled at the question and then explained they are all baked in a conventional oven no marinade used......... That's not Mexican. And I know canned beans when I taste them, those were and so were some of the other items. If your a college kid and want a Mexican atmosphere to drink high end tequila at, then this place is ok. But for food or service, no this place is way over priced and not worth a penny.

First time at this place and I was skeptical. The service was good, our server and floor manager were very attentive with the problems we had. This place advertises "fresh". Well its far from fresh. we ordered steak and shrimp fajitas and a taco salad with ground beef "tacco meat" it took every bit of 7 minutes to get our food so I doubt it is fresh, I cant cook that fast. idk but when I order fajitas I expect the steak to be cooked to order, I like mine medium, and they should be served to the table in hot skillet and sizzling. Mine was served in a warm pan the meat was way over cooked as were the peppers and onions. If I had to guess this food has been pre-made and been sitting around for a while. And so goes for the beans and rice. The garnish consisted of a plate of diced tomatoes, diced green peppers and some salontroe. I had to ask for sour cream lettuce and cheese. The tacco salad was lacking in the meat and had to ask for more. In short the food was actually good but the presentation and the garnish was not verry good. I will try them again and try the burritos.

Food was mediocre and the service was horrible. Our server was more preoccupied with flirting another employee who was drinking and swearing up a storm than she was with coming to our table. We never even got a chance to order our appetizers. Definitely won't be back.

Wanted to try this place out. Granted, we went on a Friday night so we did not get great service since it was busy. I ordered a classic margarita, which was very weak. I had a few different types of tacos.. I have had much better tasting Mexican-American cuisine elsewhere. Food was just ok.

Went for a quick lunch-delicious tacos, great service! Went back a week later for dinner- guacamole table side was yummy, combination Guanajuato was really good, and the beef enchiladas were awesome. As if it couldn't get any better, here came the flan- wow! Love the decorations and the live music was a bonus!

I went with a party of 4 for dinner on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere! The staff was EXCELLENT! Very accommodating to all requests, and knowledgable about the menu. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and four different entrées- all were superb! We will all be going back soon!!!

What a waste of a great location and a beautiful build out. This is perhaps the WORST tex mex I have ever had. Bland. Flavorless. Laughable. Every person at our table that had chicken complained of it being dry. And it was. Dry, overcooked, flavorless chicken. The tomatillo sauce is more of a charred berry sauce with little appeal. The queso fundido was Velveeta and chorizo in a small crock. THe other cheeses were flavorless and cheap. The tableside guacamole had no salt or pepper. There was also not nearly enough of cilantro or tomato in the mix. The mole sauce on my dish was dry and thin. Don't even bother. Hopefully this place will close quickly and sell to someone who knows what they are doing. I cannot believe that the chef allows this garbage to leave his/her kitchen. This was beyond grand opening difficulties. This place is a failure waiting to happen quickly. Seven people for $180.00 bucks of pure trash.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
